About Me

Topaz Gibbons-Jeffers

Topaz Gibbons-Jeffers

ASD & Behaviour Specialist

20+ years experience

Hi, I'm Topaz Gibbons-Jeffers -- an ASD and Behaviour Specialist with over 20 years of experience working with neurodiverse young people. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of supporting children with a wide range of needs, learning not just from books or training, but from truly studying them from the inside out -- observing, listening, and understanding their world with empathy and care.

As someone with dyslexia myself, I know firsthand what it feels like to process things differently. That personal insight shapes my approach and allows me to connect in ways that are both authentic and effective. I also hold a degree in performing arts, which brings creativity and expression into my work.

I provide tools and strategies for families and professionals who are supporting young people on the spectrum, always placing compassion and understanding at the heart of what I do.

Whether you're a parent feeling overwhelmed or a professional seeking fresh insight, I'm here to help -- with warmth, experience, and a deep commitment to making sure every child feels seen, heard, and supported.

Who Do We Support?

We welcome referrals from families with children from age 5 to 19 (and up to 25 with diagnosed ASD/ADHD). We also accept referrals from professionals working or supporting with the families.

Once we receive your referral, parents will receive a telephone assessment which will assess the family's needs and suitability for the programmes we offer.

Hear From the Families We've Helped

I used to have a lot of anger, always getting into fights and struggling with bad grades. Life felt like a constant battle, and I didn't see a way out. Then I met Topaz. From the moment we connected, something shifted in me. She brought a calm into my life that I didn't know I needed. With her support, I stopped getting into fights, focused more on school, and my grades started to improve. Meeting Topaz truly changed me for the better.

Demar, 14

Topaz is an amazing consummate professional. As a family intervention worker she was unbiased and looked at things through the kids' eyes with a clear objective to provide the necessary support she could. A friendly soft approach was often her method, building relationship to garner results. Her work with myself and my son helped us navigate the long road of family separation and was and still is a constant support for us. Very calming and reassuring. I would have no hesitation to recommend her to anyone.

Mr Mangaroo, Parent

As a social worker working with particularly hard to reach young people and families, I have had the privilege of working alongside Topaz who has transformed the outcomes for the young people's lives she has entered. Topaz works with care, compassion, empathy and passion. Topaz has a unique understanding and insight into young people with a diagnosis of neurodiversity. I can only hope our professional paths continue to cross.
